Blue-and-gold macaws flight

Apart from roosts in palm swamps, there is probably nowhere else where such large flocks of Blue-and-gold macaws are too be found than at the claylick at the Tambopata Research Centre. As vegetation has grown in front of the lick over the last few years, the macaws now stage close to the tourist observation area. The contrast of blue, yellow and green makes this a favourite site of many a visitor.
