Returning from a transect at Posada I heard a rustling in the leaves
up ahead. Through the ferns I saw the blonde back of this Tamandua
moving slowly clumsily towards the trail. I put away my data-sheet
and took out my camera, by which time the Tamandua sensed something
was wrong and had proceeded to climb a tree. He was surrounded by
a cloud of insects. This was my favourite photo of the series.
