The monkeys of the Tambopata Research Centre
are amongst the least concerned by human presence of any along the
Tambopata River. This mother was resting in the bamboo while her
young infant played among the branches. After a while we could hear
the crashing sounds of an approaching troop of Capuchin monkeys.
She gathered up her baby onto her back and and after one last loook
at the approaching danger made her way into some impenetrable thickets.
