Rainbow boa

Walking back from another transect, I spotted a shimmer from some buttress roots at the edge of the trail. Closer inspection revealed an adult rainbow boa, about 1.5m in length. Since it was not visible for a photo I caught it and posed it on a branch to catch the shimmer of the scales that give the snake its name. Rainbow boas are normally found only on the ground.
